Economy Finance Breakfast with Charlotte Allibert and Marceline Bodier
Librinova, a revolution in self-publishing!
Launched by Charlotte Allibert and Laure Prételat, both from traditional publishing backgrounds, start-up Librinova offers a range of services from manuscript management to acting as literary agents or organizing writing competitions. It's a real bridge between self-publishing and traditional publishing, at conditions that are both affordable and effective for aspiring authors. For the past six months, it has been developing a "talent detection" tool. And Marceline Bodier, a senior manager at INSEE and also a novelist, has benefited from Librinova's services to self-publish her first book, "The World of Literature".diter her first book, "La fille au mitote" (July 2017), a work to which Librinova awarded its 2017 "Prix des Etoiles".
In a publishing world dominated by the very big houses and the unavoidable collection directors, Librinova aims to bring in new blood and open up the publishing adventure to creative authors.Librinova's aim is to bring in new blood and open up the publishing adventure to gifted creators whose access to media publishing is very difficult, if not impossible, in today's conventional system.
On Friday March 22, Charlotte Allibert and Marceline Bodier will present Librinova's activities and services, each from her own point of view, and take us behind the scenes of the publishing world.
Charlotte Allibert, HEC alumna (class of 2010), worked for publishing group EDITIS, before founding Librinova in 2014. Marceline Bodier, ENSAE alumnus (class of 1992) and INSEE administrator, is a specialist in demographic and social issues at the Institute.
