Founder of the Yunus Centre Paris, Jean-Luc Perron is working with the City of Paris and the organizers of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games to turn the Games into a lever for strengthening the social and solidarity economy in the Ile-de-France region, and a driving force for social inclusion. In a social context whose fractures have been revealed by the "Gilets jaunes" crisis, the Games can be much more than a global sporting spectacle, and the outline of consultation linked to the "Great Debate", it is indeed apparent that the Games can be much more than just a global sporting spectacle. Grand débat", it seems indeed useful, even essential to help spread the values of solidarity and sustainable development and stimulate an economy placed at the service of the common good.
On Friday May 24, Jean-Luc Perron will be coming to present his perspectives on this vast project and the other initiatives of the Yunus Centre Paris.
An alumnus of the Ecole Nationale d'Administration (Voltaire class of 1980) and the Stanford Executive Program (1992), Jean-Luc Perron holds a degree in philosophy. before embarking on a career at Caisse Nationale du Crédit Agricole, where he held a number of management positions. He prompted the creation of the Grameen Crédit Agricole Foundation, dedicated to the development of microfinance and social business in developing countries, and headed it for 8 years. Since October 2016, he has been Pr Muhammad Yunus' advisor in Paris, and is also vice-president of "Convergences", the French platform for players in microfinance, social entrepreneurship and social and environmental impact investment.
