Appointments - David THAI (2018) appointed Quantitative Trader at Unifi Asset Management

Ensae Alumni extends its warmest congratulations to David THAI on his appointment as Quantitative Trader at Unifi Asset Management.

David THAI first entered the prestigious Classe Préparatoire aux Grandes Écoles in the MPSI/MP* stream at the Lycée Louis-le-Grand, before continuing his studies at theENSAE Paris, where he obtained a double degree in mathematics and statistics, as well as a Master of Financial Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley (Haas School of Business).

His professional career began in 2016 in London at BNP Paribas as a trading trainee, before joining PIMCO in Los Angeles and then London, first as a trainee Quantitative Researcher, then as a full Quantitative Researcher. His rapid progress led to the position of Vice President, Quantitative Researcher at PIMCO, a position he held from 2021 to 2024, before being promoted to Senior Vice President in 2025.

Today, Tran David THAI brings his expertise and know-how to Unifi Asset Management. His exemplary career, combining academic excellence and international experience, is a credit to the community of ENSAE graduates.
