Appointments - Jean-Baptiste HERBET (1998) appointed Deputy Director of Statistics and Economic Studies (S2E) at the SGA of the Ministry of the Armed Forces

Ensae Alumni is pleased to congratulate Jean-Baptiste Herbet on his appointment to the position of Deputy Director of Statistics and Economic Studies (S2E), Head of the Ministerial Statistical Service (SSM Armées) within the SGA of the Ministry of the Armed Forces.

Jean-Baptiste Herbet is a graduate of ENSAI (1991) and ENSAE Paris (1998). He also completed the auditor's course at the Institut des hautes études de défense nationale (IHEDN) in 2001.

Jean-Baptiste began his career as an intern at Médiamétrie, before taking on increasing responsibilities at INSEE, then the French Ministry of Health. He then joined the French National Cancer Institute as Department Director.

He continued his career at the Ministry of Ecology, where he was Rapporteur of the Transport Accounts Commission and Head of Office, before holding several management positions at the Ministry of the Interior.

Since 2022, he has been Director of INSEE Antilles-Guyane in Baie-Mahault.

His expertise ranges from public statistics to complex project management, economic analysis and the management of multidisciplinary teams.
