X-Mines-Ponts-ENSAE au Féminin

Dual careers and parenthood

How do you reconcile all the facets of your life: family, professional, associative, conjugal? How can you adapt your choices to the different phases of your life?

We invite you to join us for a friendly discussion on February 8. We'll be delighted to welcome Julie and Damien Lorton, parents of three children.

Damien graduated from the Ecole Polytechnique in 1995, and is the author of several novels, including "Le père est une mère comme les autres", published in 2009. After the birth of their last daughter, Damien took parental leave for two years.

Julie is a graduate of the University of Marne-la-Vallée and has always worked full-time.

Each of them will tell us about their experience of paternal parental leave, an original choice since it concerns only 1.4% of men in France today.

Those present will be invited to share their own experiences.

The evening will end with a cocktail reception.

Come one, come all. Spouses welcome!

There is a charge of 20 euros per person for the cocktail, and 10 euros for accompanying persons.

Registration on the Inter-Mines website.
