80 years of Insee - Colloque 2026

In 2026, to mark its 80th anniversary, Insee will be organizing a symposium devoted to the history of official statistics:
" 80 ans d'Insee: nouveaux regards sur la statistique publique ".

Current and former official statisticians are warmly invited to submit proposals for papers.

Topics may include

• official statistics institutions, players and networks,

• methods, classifications and surveys,

• comparisons, harmonization and circulation of statistics,

• their reception, use and criticism,

• as well as the writing and sources of statistical history.

The colloquium will be held at Insee headquarters in Montrouge, with remote presentations available.

Proposals(one page maximum, in French or English) should include:

• a specific title,

• 4 to 6 keywords,

• a short biography,
