ENSAE students reinvent political analysis with LLMs
Three months after making AI benchmarking history with their now-viral study of Les Loups-Garous de Thiercelieux, (a work widely relayed by OpenAI' s by OpenAI president lui-même), our Foaster alumni Raphaël Dabadie (2026), Alexandre Combes (2025) and Tom Proust (2027), accompanied by Natan Darhi (2018), have achieved a new feat.
This time, it's Elon Musk who's sharing their work... twice!
An ambitious study
Their new project involves 6 AI models voting in elections in 8 different countries, in order to analyze their political preferences.
Results:
-
3 million views in just a few hours
-
a study presented as a potential game-changer for the world's next elections
-
a unique methodology: anonymous AI analysis of hundreds of policy proposals, revealing a fascinating political gap between citizens and AI models
Yes, it's historic!
Because ENSAE trains talent capable not only of mastering AI technologies, but also of transforming them into tools of societal impact.
Once again, our students and alumni stand out for their ability to :
-
push back the limits of AI applications,
-
devise new methodologies,
-
shed light on crucial issues such as democratic functioning and collective decision-making.
A huge well done to Alexandre, Natan and Tom for this titanic project, carried out in parallel with their studies and their mission at Foaster.
Yet another demonstration that excellence, boldness and innovation are part of ENSAE's DNA.
