Breakfast Economy Finance with Michel BARTH
The repaired and augmented human
The repaired and augmented human
The question of the decisive contribution made to medicine by artificial intelligence and other cutting-edge digital technologies has been the subject of impassioned commentary for some years now, but we are already at the stage of concrete realization: regenerative medicine with cell therapy, optogenetic therapy (for the blind), xenotransplantation (organ transplants fromorgans), 3D printing of organs, artificial hands connected to the brain, artificial organs (heart, pancreas), exoskeletons for paralyzed people... And alongside these physicalto these physical means of combating illness or disability, mental supports based on digital tools are also being developed, to make the patient's life easier.velopment, to make patients morally more resilient in the face of their deteriorating condition (hence the barbaric title of "repaired and augmented human being").
Who are the current players in this new field of applied human research? What are the major achievements? What are the ethical issues involved? Where does the associated funding come from? Which countries are leading the way? What public oversight is planned?
Michel Barth, founder of ENoving and an expert in change management in the healthcare sector, will be on hand on September 23 to share his experience in this vital area of interest, and to outline future prospects in this field.
An alumnus of Ecole Polytechnique and Télécom Paris, founder and co-chairman of ENoving, Michel Barth supports healthcare companies in their innovation projects. He also lectures at a number of schools, and co-leads the X Santé Biotech group.
