Appointments - Cécile WELTER-MEDEE (2019) appointed Head of the Office of Studies on Delinquency, Victimization and Organized Crime at the Ministerial Statistical Service for Internal Security (SSMSI)

The entire Ensae Alumni community extends its warmest congratulations to Cécile WELTER-MEDEE, who has just been appointed Head of the Bureau des études sur la délinquance, la victimation et la criminalité organisée au Service statistique ministériel de la sécurité intérieure (SSMSI).

Cécile graduated from ENSAI in 2009, holds a Master 2 in Statistics - Finance and Insurance from CNAM (2011) and is an INSEE Trainee Administrator, Data Science for Social Sciences at ENSAE Paris (2019).

She began her career as a statistician at the French Ministry of Defense, then at the Ministry of Ecology, before teaching at Paris-Dauphine University. After stints at the French Prudential Control Authority and the Ministry of Agriculture, she went on to make a name for herself at Insee, where she held positions as Data Scientist and Head of the Dissemination and Regional Accounts Section.
