Deaths - Tribute

It is with great sadness that we have learned of the death of Jean Bergougnoux, a former student of the X and ENSAE engineering schools, who was Chief Executive Officer of EDF from 1987 to 1994. He founded and chaired the Eurelectric association of European electricians, and chaired the Studies Committee of the World Energy Council. He was Chairman of SNCF from 1994 to 1996.
